Although this is not the first time Charles has produced Sauvignon Blanc in his winemaking career, this is the first release of Sauvignon Blanc for hope & grace wines … We just wonder why it took him so long!

2008 Dry Riesling, Napa Valley

Before Prohibition, Riesling was Napa Valley's dominant white variety, thanks to German immigrants like Charles Krug, Jacob Schram and Frederick Beringer, who planted the grapes they knew best. Riesling persisted in the valley when the wine industry emerged from Prohibition. Although many wine neophytes initially think of Reisling as being a sweet wine, we food & wine adventurers know better ... Dry, dry and drier! We consider Riesling to be a true aristocratic grape that will rival Chardonnay as a food pairing wine any day!

Varietal: 100% Riesling
Vineyard designate: Losey Vineyards
Appellation: Oak Knoll, Napa Valley
Barrel Aging: 12 Months on French Oak Barrels
Production: 200 Cases

Winemaker’s Notes:
Soft notes of white flowers, honey suckle, melon and toasty spice elevate from the glass on the first swirl .... Bright citrus flavors invigorate the palate, finishing with a clean, crisp finish.
